We are a church that seeks to be growing together in Christ. We want to be growing in size as we help more and more people come to know, trust and love the Lord Jesus. We want to be growing in maturity, helping one another to become faithful followers of the Lord Jesus. How are we seeking to grow? We are seeking to grow by helping people to know Jesus, to understand what it means to trust in Jesus, and helping people learn to love like Jesus.
Three times an angel disrupts the lives of oridnary people with a powerful message. Each time the angel assures the person with four words – “Do not be afraid.” As we reflect on the coming of the Lord Jesus this Christmas we will consider the angels message to Zechariah, to Mary, and to the shepherds and why, because of Jesus, we don’t need to be afraid.

How do you face difficult circumstances? What do you consider to be most important in your life? When you think about death, the idea of facing your own mortality, how does that make you feel? These are big questions about life, and how you answer these questions will shape the way you live. In the Philippians 1:12-26 we will see how the gospel shapes Paul’s answers to these question. We will see how the gospel changes our perspective. We need a gospel perspective to continue growing in Christ. Have a listen to find out how the gospel should change our perspective on our circumstances, on what we consider most important, and on life and death.
